Krish was priory named as Vijay Balakrishnan who rechristened his name as Krish for the film industry. Krish is majorly a Tamil play back singer and works with reputable film composers including Harris Jeyaraj, A R Rahman, Yuvan Shankar Raja. Early Life and Background of Playback Singer Krish

Krish always had passion and zeal towards music since his childhood. This made Krish to concentrate on music even in his early days so that he could make u his career with the music industry as a successful play back singer. Apart from having the dream of becoming a play back singer, Krish also had interest towards in acting at a certain stage of life. This made Krish to take up a professional course in acting. Krish entered into the film industry as a play back singer wherein his first debut was for the Tamil film Vattaiyadu Vilayadu in the year 2006 starring Kamal Haasan and Jyotika for the film director Gautham Vasudev Menon set to the tunes of Harris Jeyaraj. So it was Harris who picked him into the film industry and made his a childhood desire come true and make it his own profession. His first debut song for the movie was “Manjal Veyil Malayile”. This song became a great hit for him through Krish was not that popular among the crowd.

It was the song “June Ponal July Katre” for the film Unnale Unnale starring Vinay, Tanisha and Sadha in the lead role for the same music director which made him earn a household name. After the release of this song, Krish became a predominant singer in the commerce making him a regular singer for Harris Jeyaraj. The song “Oru Mugamo eru mugamo” for the film Bhima with Vikram and Trisha was another feather to his cap. Other notable compositions for Krish were “Karu Karu Vizhigala” for Patchai Kili Muthucharam with Sharath Kumar, Andrea and Jyotika in the lead for Gautham Vasudev Menon again. “Adiye Kolluthe” for the film Vaarannam Ayiram are one among his popular numbers with Harris. Krish sang 2 songs in the film Kanden, whilst he also made a debut as a lyricist in the film.
