Anna University Chennai Admissions 2012-2013 for B.E/B.Tech Courses: TNEA

Anna University Chennai has announced the application details for the admission in B.E/B.Tech courses 2012-2013. From May 11 to May 31, 2012 the Applications for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions(TNEA 2012) will be issued across the state(Tamilnadu).

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions(TNEA 2012) is the single window counselling for all the students looking forward to get admission in any Affiliated College/Self-financing College of Anna University. As we know Anna University, Chennai is one of the India's Top Technical University. Each year there are lacs of Engineers joining Industry after completing their Engineering course from Anna University. Here is the good news for all the students who have completed their +2 examinations and looking for the career in Engineering. Most of the state and CBSE +2 result will be out till the last week of May. Students can go through the counselling and they can choose the college. No doubt, Anna University is having 200+ colleges and there are many having good rank and name in India as well.

By applying through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions(TNEA 2012) students can get admission in BE/BTech courses under the Government Quota. Anna University Vice Chancellor P Mannar Jawahar Said on Saturday:
"The forms will be issued across 58 centres including the Anna University in Chennai from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm on all working days during the period. We have not finalised the schedule for the single window counselling but the counselling will be conducted only at the Anna University in Chennai for all students."

How to Apply:

Students can get the application forms online or offline(centers) or can be obtained by post too. Students belong to Scheduled Castes(SC)/Scheduled Tribes(ST) category can buy the application form by paying 250 cash or Demand Draft. But they need to producing a photocopy of their community certificate and Candidates belong to Other Backward Classes(OBC)/Most Backward Classes(MBC) and General category will have to pay 500 for Application Form. Students can apply online and offline:
Offline : Students can get the Application form directly in person from Application Issuing Colleges.
Online : Students can apply through Online website of Anna university TNEA 2012 portal: www.annauniv.edu/tnea2012

To apply for TNEA 2012

Basically there is 50% of the Sanctioned seats in self-financing engineering colleges and 35% of the total seats in private engineering colleges administered by Government Quota seats. And the remaining seats are Management quota seats.

Date of Issue of Applications : 11th May 2012(till 31st May 2012)
Last Date for Submissions of Applications : 31st May 2012
(Application Fee is Rs. 500 for General and Rs. 250 for SC/ST)
