Chardham yatra is a religious yatra of Hindu religion. People like to go to this yatra once in their life time. They like to go to the chardham yatra. Char dham yatra is nowadays very easy to do because of the tour operators and tour packages. In this article you can read about the chardham and the history about the yatra.

The four pilgrimages
Badrinath, Dwarka, Jagganath Puri and Rameshwaram
are referred as Char Dham. The Hindu pilgrims like to visit the
char dhams
in one's lifetime. Adi Shankaracharya saivite philosopher traveled the four sacred places Badrinath, Rameshwaram, Jagannath Puri and Dwarka which are known for the incarnation of the Vishnu Avatars. It was not possible in the earlier times for the people to do the
char dham yatra
at a stretch. But now it has been a very easy by the help of the tour operators and we must thank to the modern traveling technique also. It took so many days to complete the yatra now the time taken for travel also very quick and easy. Tour operators are also there to help the people in making the
char dham packages
and schedule their planning according to their time and money.
Dwarka – Gujarat
Dwarka is in the Gujarat State. It is the one of the place to visit in the Char Dham yatra. In India it lies in the western side of India. Dwar in Sanskrit language it means door. This the dwelling place of Sri krishna, the Lord. Because of the city lying in the sea side it was damaged and destructed by the sea.
Rameshwaram – Tamil Nadu
Rameshwaram is the place where we read about the Ram Setu (bridge) built by Lord Rama to Lanka. The God in the temple of Ramanatha Swamy Temple is Lord Shiva. There is a belief that Sri Ram worshipped Lord Shiva here. It is located in the

Jagnnath Puri - Orissa
Puri is in the Eastern part of India. It is in the state of Orissa, on the coast of Bay of Bengal. Puri is as a holy place of India. Lord Krishna is known as Jagganath in this temple. Chardham yatra is a dream of the most Hindus.Here you can see the idols of Subhadra, sister of Lord Krishna and his brother Balabhadra. Raja Choda Ganga Deva and Raja Tritiya Ananga Bhima Deva constructed this temple 1000 years ago. Here you can see the idols are made of woods.
Badrinath – Uttarakhand
Badrinath is in Chamoli city in Uttarakhand which is known as a temple city . It is located near the
Indo-china border
; it takes only 2 days from Kedarnath. One can visit Badrinath during the month of June and September. Badrinath is the most important pilgrimage place to visit in the Chardham yatra which is situated the hills of Garhwal and at the banks of river Alaknanda.

which is believed to be the symbol Lord Vishnu, which is a black stone found in the Alaknanda River by Shankaracharya, the saivite philosopher. There are also regular bus services available from Rishikesh to Badrinath during the
