International Friendship Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of August every year. This year, this friendship day falls on Ist of August.

Friendship Day is celebrated all over the world every year on the first Sunday of August. This year, this day falls on 1st of August itself.

The tradition of celebrating day in honour of friends began in US in 1935. Eventually, the celebration became popular and today is celebrated all over the world including India.

On the 'Friendship Day'people spend time with their friends and exchange gifts like wrist bands, flowers, cards and sweets.

While wishing you all a 'Happy Friendship Day', I would like to share a quote from a wise person which touched my heart.
