In Chennai, seven matches are to be played and to avoid congestion near Chepauk stadium, traffic is diverted.
IPL 2010 matches are taking place in M.A.Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk. The matches are to be held on March 14, 21, 31, April 3rd, 13 and 15.
On March 14, March 21, April 6, April 13 and April 15 from 3 p.m. to 9.30 p.m and on March 31 and April 3 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m traffic diversions have been announced by the Chennai Police.
During the above given timings no vehicle except MTC buses and vehicles with passes will be permitted in Wallajah Road up to Kamarajar Salai. Bells Road will be one way with entry from Wallajah Road. No vehicles can enter Wallajah Road from Bharathi Salai. Entry from the side roads into Bells roads are also prohibitted.
After the matches are over, the traffic flow will be reversed and the traffic will be permitted from the junction of Bharathi Salai.
Vehicles with passes will be allowed from Triplicane High Road on Bharathi Salai up to Kamarajar Salai. Canal Road will be made one way with entry from Bharathi Salai and no entry from Wallajah Road.
Cars and two-wheelers without passes coming on Anna Salai and Kamarajar Salai will be allowed to come via Adams Road and park at Anna Square, Government Estate, Pandian Thidal and PWD Office compound.
Vehicles with passes can park at Victoria Hostel, Warden Hostel, TNCA car park, MCC Cark Park, Chepauk Station, Pattabiram gate.
Vehicles without passes have to be parked on Foreshore Road.

A heavy flow of traffic is expected for the IPL 2010 matches to be held in Chennai. So the Chennai Police have made all sorts of security arrangements for the dates on which the matches are to be held.
