Recipe for Orange Peel - Sweet and sour sauce (Pachchadi)

This thick liquid, tastes sweet and sour and goes well with both rice and chappatis/Roti
Ingredients:
Orange peel of 2 organges (Big size)
Jaggery: 100 gms.
Salt : 1 tea spoon
Tamarind: size of a lemon (Soak in two cups of water and remove thin pulp)
Oil : 2 table spoons.
Mustard seeds : 1/4 teaspoon
Fenugreek seeds: 1/4 teaspoon (Roasted and broken)
Red chillies : 5
Asofotida : a pinch
Curry leaves: 5
Turmeric powder : a pinch
Water : 2 cups.
Procedure:
Wash the orange peel. Cut it into small pieces of 1 cm square.
Heat oil in a saucepan, add mustard seeds, break the red chillies into two pieces, and also add the fenugreek seeds and curry leaves. When it splutter,add asofotida. Then add the orange peels, stir and little water and over the saucepan.
After two minutes, add the tamarind pulp, turmeric powder, salt let us boil for a minute. Now add jaggery (crushed or sliced. Let it boil for 2 minutes, and marinate.
Transfer this sauce in a container. This can be served hot or cold. Store in refrigerator.
