Sri Kasi Viswanathar Temple, West Mambalam

Sri Kasi Viswanathar Temple is situated in Easwaran Koil Street, West Mambalam.

This is an old temple in West Mambalam . The street in which the temple is situated is also named after the deity.

This old temple is now being renovated . The work is in progress under the supervision and guidance of "Kasi Viswanathar Service Association". The association has plans to build a separate santom for Lord Bhairavar (another form of Lord Shiva). The Devi is called Visalakshi Ambal.

They also have a plan to adorn one side of the Mahamandapam with the images of the 63 Saivite saints (Nayanmars) and the other side of the mandapam with have images of Lord Natarajar and Meenakshi Sundareswarar.

Yielding to the wishes of the devotees the association has plans to conduct a Brahmotsavam after the completion of the renovation . Those who are interested to contributed for the renovation may contact in phone No.2489 0018
