Adventure travel safety tips

The trip though looks like an exciting trip for many can give you nightmare and can become extermely dangerous if some basic safety guidelines are not followed. Here are few adventure travel safety tips.

Food
1. Take plenty of water along with you, since in many areas, safe supply of drinking water is difficult to obtain.
2. Pack light and take only the essential items such as food, clothing, maps and water. Do not take any frills.
3. To reduce load try to carry only tinned or packed foods.

Clothing
1. Take extra care for cloth packing. Temperatures may not be even and very easily it can shift betweeen both extremes. To protect ourselves better from sun and rain it is advisable to carry a warm jacket as well a raincoat.
2. Carry a few pair of extra socks.
3. Stick to the basics such as jeans and cargo pants. Avoild wearing shorts, since it can expose your unprotected legs to all kinds of dangers.

Other Necessities
1.Buy or take a good, sturdy bear of hiking boots with you. Do not wear flimsy, fashionable shoes or chappals.
2. Take a first-aid kit. If you take any kind of prescription medication, don’t forget to get a refill before you leave and bring it with you.
3. If you wear contacts then it is advisable to carry an additional pair of eyeglasses.
4.Updated maps of the area and a compass.
5.Swiss army knife
6.Pair of binoculars.
