Sri Varasiddhi Vallabha Vinayaka Temple

This temple Varasiddhi Vinayaka, was first installed at the CPWD quarters when the then government objected to roadside temples and was threatened with demolition. Little did they know what Lord Vinayaka had in his mind ! !
The devotees of the old temple became the founder of the new temple Balaramamurthy Naidu and the Secretary V.Srinivasan . They purchased land and started building a new temple for the Idol of Lord Vinayaka. When the construction was finished, the devotees together got a bigger idol of Vallaba Vinayaka and installed both at the temple.

The main concept in this temple is the concept of Vigneswara Panchayadham, where in the synergy of Siva, Vishnu, Amba, the Navagrahas and Balasubramania is evident. On the three sides of the main shrine, one can see Gajakeswari Lalithambigai, Satyanarayana and Dakshinamurthy. Vallabha Ganapathy has Vallabhai with him on his lap, the daughter of Marreecha Munivar. Lord Vinayaka is said to have married Vallabai and known as Lakshmi Ganapathy in North India and said to be representing Vishnu and Vallabha Lakshmi.

Lord Vinayaka is said to signify the process of sublimation, the process converting something negative to positive. Satyanarayana is present in the temple and so Satyanarayana Pooja is performed every pournami day. Secretary Srinivasan 's pride in the temple is seen when he recounts that the temple has seen four mahakumbhabhishekam, two Adi rudram, fifteen Sudharsana homam and nithya Ganapathy homam. The Temple is known for the Poojas performed at the temple.

Margazhi is a month of Thriuppavai and Thiruvembhavai which starts in the middle of Decmber and goes on till the middle of January.1000 girls sing thiruppavai and Thiruvembhavai at the temple and they are provided with new clothes every year. Ganesh Chathurthi as well as Sri Ramanavami are celebrated with devotion and fervour and both the festivals culminate in annadhanam for the poor.
Shankaracharyas of Kanchi and Sringeri guided the placing of the yantram on which the main deity is installed at the Varasiddhi Vallabha Vinayaka Temple. Lord seems very happy here and is said to bestow all the people who comes to the temple and prays whole heartedly for the deliverence.
