Vels College of Science is a College accredited by NAAC with B Grade status and the college has been included under 2F of the UGC Act -1952. The College is affiliated to the University of Madras and most of its application courses are approved by the AICTE, New Delhi.
The College has an centralised Placement cell which has regular placement and recruitment by reputed companies and campus interviews are held every year.
Placement cell takes initiative in soft skills development too, by bringing people from reputed Training institutions like Layam Management Solutions Pvt Ltd, Expertus HR Pvt Ltd, Only Success Learning Technologies Pvt Ltd, MaFoi Management Consultants Ltd and RIPE Institute Pvt Ltd to conduct Workshops and Communication Development Programmes to their campus and encourage students to participate in them.
